Symfony2 Developer for Innovative 3d Printing Company

by printathing » Mon Feb 24, 2014 8:44 pm

Are you sick of working tireless hours for a big company while a few fat cats at the top take the lion's-share of the rewards for themselves? Would you like to be able to say to your grandkids “I was part of something big: our team helped change the world?” Would you like to be able to hone your professional skills by having control over how and when you work, while getting immediate and relevant feedback on the results?

What you need:
* Comprehensive knowledge of the Symfony2 framework and it’s components
* A rock-solid grasp of best OOP practices
* A love/hate relationship with Doctrine and annotations
* A desire to make an impact on the world

What you'll be doing:

Building something new, exciting, and potentially groundbreaking
Working with a group of experienced professionals
Investing only a few hours a week, so you can keep your day-job

What's in it for you:
The pride of being an instrumental part of something game-changing
The freedom to work when and where you want (telecommuting)
An equitable portion of all future company profits ($$$$)

Our Company:
Print a Thing is a marketplace for 3D printing services. It connects people who have underutilized 3D printers with others who need custom objects fabricated. In doing so, it allows those with 3D printers to make money, while offering immensely powerful 3D printing services at the lowest cost available on the web.

The Revolution:
3D printing is getting a lot of attention in the press these days. Business Insider called 3d Printing “The Next Trillion Dollar Industry,” saying “Three-dimensional printing has the potential to change not just manufacturing, but the world.” An article in the Economist that “Current manufacturing processes create as much as 90% waste. ...Even if 3D printing is limited to the business world, it's going to be a huge industry.” Our company is strategically positioning to play a key role in the 3d printing revolution, and we are offering an equitable portion of all future profits to the right candidate.

The Need:
We are in the midst of automating our business, and are in need of an experienced and self-directed Symfony2 developer who can help complete the site. Tasks include creating RESTful services, building complex form types with custom validation, expanding the security context, giving and receiving peer feedback through code reviews, and debating about Yoda conditionals. Applicants will need to adhere to strong coding principles while at the same time being pragmatic.

We believe that people should be allowed to reap what they sow, and have built the company around this idea. Every partner contributing to Print a Thing is offered a percentage of all future company profits, proportional to how much time they have invested in the company up to that point. Even the founder is paid according to this formula and takes no additional compensation for himself.

How often do you get to be a part of something game-changing while truly getting your fair share of the profits? Qualified candidates, send your resume today to begin the exciting, meaningful, and rewarding professional experience you've been waiting for.
