Waiting Actions (or concurrent action calls)

by alper » Tue Apr 07, 2009 1:45 pm

Hi
I have several "link_to_remote" calls to a specific action in the page. each ajax-call(link_to_remote) calls the action with different ID's(parameter). Each action runs for 8 to 10 seconds.
When I click on the links that call these actions each call waits each other. for example if I have 5 "link_to_remote" calls and click them I wait for 5*8 = 40 seconds. Aren't these actions supposed to run concurrently

Hi,

I use symfony 1.4 and I have exactly the same problem.

I try to realise a progress bar based on this exemple : http://q2interactive.net/view/how-to-build-an-ajax-progress-bar-with-jquery-and-php.html

This basic example works fine. The same code in symfony (I change process.php and display.php by symfony actions -> executeProcess and executeDisplay) does not work. Actions doesn't run concurrently...So the process is ended then my progress bar is increment.
