Error - '_e1s. cfs' is not readable

by universi » Thu Sep 18, 2008 9:51 pm

[yet posted in the wrong forum - Sorry!]

Dear all,

I'm working from yesterday to solve an error in an old SF istallation.
The error give me this message :

[Zend_Search_Lucene_Exception]
File '/var/www/bookerang.it/htdocs/data/index/MyIndex/it_IT/_e1s. cfs' is not readable.
stack trace
at ()
in SF_ROOT_DIR/plugins/sfLucenePlugin/lib/vendor/Zend/Search/Lu cene/Storage/File/Filesystem.php line 59 ...

if (strpos($mode, 'w') === false && !is_readable($filename)) {
// opening for reading non-readable file
throw new Zend_Search_Lucene_Exception('File \'' . $filename . '\' is not readable.');
}

$trackErrors = ini_get('track_errors');

THis is the link for the complete stack:

http://www.bookerang.it/bookerang_dev.php/search/book?query= io&category=Book

What is the meaning and the use of such files in the DiR

htdocs/data/index/MyIndex/it_IT/_e1s.cfs'

Thanks

Are you using an optimizer, ie APC or eaccelerator?

I have always the same problem with my forum post search index.
There are round about 280.000 Documents to index and i often get the error that one index file is not readable.
But it happens just on index where many documents are indexed.
Where does this problem come from?
Did you find a solution for this?
We are currently using APC.

Got the same error, but on a different file (.../data/index/MyIndex/no/_u6w_6g.del).

Seems to happen when a script run by cron is updating the index at the same time as a web client is doing an action that cause the index to be updated.

Wonder if lucene can handle multiple updates or?
May the source be with you
