[SOLVED] sfWidgetFormJQueryAutocompleter problem, jQuery is not defined

by ringhio » Mon Jun 15, 2009 11:42 am

Hi guys! I've a problema with sfWidgetFormJQueryAutocompleter installed within sfFormExtraPlugin. Following the blog post "New in symfony 1.2: Make your Choice!" I've setup all action/templates/_form to reflect what I read but when the form loads I get this error in the Web Development Toolbar:

Code: Select all
jQuery is not defined

hilighting the last row in the .js file (that I see correctly included in the header of the page)

Code: Select all
})(jQuery);

Any ideas?

Thanks
Daniel

I was missing to include jquery.js in the /web/js folder and in the view.yml (javascripts entry).

This isn't written in the "Installation" section on the page of the plugin, but only after the widget list...

As no third party libraries is bundled in the plugin, you need to install and load the required dependencies like JQuery, JQuery UI, or TinyMCE by yourself.
