Form saving issue in SF 1.2

by qqsharp » Fri Aug 26, 2011 4:57 pm

Hello,

I'm using Symfony 1.2.2 with Propel and PostgreSQL 8.4. I have a "formule" module, which basically manipulates formula objects through forms, and one of the fields of the edit/creation form doesn't get its value saved in the database when I add the data. The field is a varchar(1) in the DB schema, as well as in the schema.yml config file.
The form validation works fine, but when I look up the SQL INSERT query through the Propel logging, the value for this field is " '' ", no matter what I enter in the field, and the database entry for that field will always be those two single quotes, even though that column is theoretically made to hold only 1 character from a list.
The Combobox from which I select the values holds the right ones ('0', '1', '2', '3', '4') but doesn't seem to be translated right to the query.

Any ideas about where could this problem come from ?

Thanks in advance for your answers ;)
