ACP?¿?¿

Well, if "posts" excludes spam posts, then go with your idea. If not, I would suggest installing mod_email_fabpot

Administration Control Panel ;)
I am pretty sure that "posts" means "approved posts" but then there is the risk of having some false positives and "innocent" users could be deactivated unintentionally. We could of course announce pruning so that non-spammers with zero posts could write something to prevent deactivation or at least be warned. What do you guys think?

Cheers

Well, I'm guessing the number of actual non-spam users with 0 posts is minimal, since most people register because they need help.
But I'd go with your idea, put up a big "Reply here or YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!!" (Gandalf .gif included) sticky post, and a week from now just delete all the accounts with 0 posts.

This looks promising, thanks for sharing. I'll spread the word to our admins.

stopforumspam is good but far from perfect.

I use it in my forum and I am still getting around 50 new fake registrations a day

Not sure if this is a good, or workable, idea. But why don't you stick a hidden form field on the registration form which real people wouldn't see. When the form is then submitted, if that field is filled in with something, the user isn't saved but they would still get a notification email?

Agree. The root structure is clearly planned for Symfony 1.x and then someone just added Symfony2 on top of it.
+1 for a restructuration
