by langlaislaurent » Wed Jun 13, 2007 7:42 pm

Hi, i've got a symfony project which sends emails via the sfmail class. everything is going well on my local pc but it doesn't work on OVH. i've no error message but i never receive the sent email.
here is my mailer.yml file :
Code: Select all
default:
  deliver:           on
  mailer:            smtp
  hostname:              smtp.mydomain.com
  port:              25
  username:          myusername
  password:          mypassword

  wordwrap:          80

do you have any idea?
thanks
Laurent

Do you get your own smtp logs at this host - if so, what do they say? If not, log a call with the host to see what requirements they have for you to use their outgoing smtp server.

in fact, the only way for me to send an email from my OVH website was to completly remove smtp information in the mailer.yml file. Symfony and the sfmailer class use the php mail() function as default and it works.
here is my mailer.yml
Code: Select all
default:
  deliver:           on
  wordwrap:          80

do you have an example of your sendmail or smtp mailer.yml configuration?

for the gmail spam, i don't have this problem. I think that's because the "from" field of my mail has a domain name equal to my website domain name on ovh.

I heard that the port to send mail with OVH must be 587.

But I've got the same problem, if you solved it...

Excuse my bad english, I'm french
