Installation without console

I wanted to learn Symfony, but was stopped when it appears you have to have access to O/S console. Most web service providers prevent this. I can use cPanel and FTP, but not the shell. Is Symfony out of the question for me?

Hi,

You can still set it up using FTP + cPanel, but its harder to do so. You have to move your vendor and bin folder manually to the server, as well as handle asset management manually, etc etc etc. I really advice you to try and get a shared hosting with ssh access. They are still cheap enough, and it will save you a lot of trouble
