Built-In Web Server in LAN

by Windwalker » Tue Oct 08, 2013 11:14 pm

Hello,

I am pretty new to Symfony, but what I've seen so far look great. So I am really eager to dive into Symfony. :-)

I just set up my XAMPP server with Symfony, everything well configured, also Symfony's built-in development server is working, like:
http://localhost:8000/app_dev.php/demo/hello/Fabien

But I'd also like to make this built-in server available throughout my private network.
Using http://<host%20IP>:8000/app_dev.php/demo/hello/Fabien doesn't work.

I deactivated the host's firewall, which didn't help.

What can I do?

In advance, thanks for your help!
Sascha.

Hello,

I managed to solve the problem.
I browsed through this forum and found this post:
Installing Symfony2 On Windows7 x64 Step By Step !!!!!

This post described configuring virtual hosts for XAMPP. After this, you only need to configure the respective hosts in all clients "hosts" file.
