Development on a remote server

by darac » Tue Apr 15, 2014 4:53 pm

Are there any instructions for scenarios when the app is being developed on a remote server instead of the localhost and then deployed on a production server? I have followed the Quickguide but it's written using scenario where local computer is used for development.

I have configured apache and pointed it to projects Web Directory but it serves a blank page (app.php). Also app_dev.php cannot be accessed since it's not accessed from localhost address. I can change that in app_dev.php to bypass this check.

The main question is, is there any other bypasses or pitfalls I should be aware when using this kind of a development scenario?

No :)
Change rule in app_dev to your current ip instead of and should work.
Check error_log to see why app.php doesn't work - but before just clear cache (remove prod dir from cache)
