Symfony installation problem - web/app_dev.php

by Ifor » Thu Sep 18, 2014 8:56 pm

I've problem with Symfony on Fedora 20 with KDE. I've installed Symfony to /var/www/html via composer.phar. When I open localhost/Symfony/web/app_dev.php I get:

Code: Select all
UnexpectedValueException: The stream or file "/var/www/html/Symfony/app/logs/dev.log" could not be opened: failed to open stream: Permission denied

However localhost/Symfony/web/config.php says that "Your configuration looks good to run Symfony". My permission setting:

Code: Select all
setsebool httpd_enable_homedirs true
setsebool httpd_read_user_content true
setsebool allow_httpd_anon_write true
chcon -t public_content_rw_t app/cache
chcon -t public_content_rw_t app/logs

and chmod 777 on Symfony catalog.

Apache version:

Code: Select all
Server version: Apache/2.4.10 (Fedora)
Server built:   Jul 23 2014 10:35:28

I have no idea what is wrong (and Google doesn't help) so I thnik you can help me. Any solutions?

I disabled SELinux and now everything seems to work. I know that I can be insceure, but I will enebled this after work with Symfony. Maybe sometimes i will figure out how to deal with it without disabling SELinux.

You did the right thing disabling SELinux. For the trouble that thing causes over the benefits it gives, it's just not worth it.
