Windows 8 and Symfony 2.6.0

by bitshifter » Tue Dec 02, 2014 8:34 pm

I started with Symfony Friday Nov 28 and had no problem installing and getting started. When I got back to it on Sunday and created a new project it appeared to function correctly but when viewed in a web browser it did not. The folders that should have been created during the install were blank. It seems to be a permissions problem but I do not know how to fix it, 2.5.7 still works fine. I have also tried it on Windows 7 and that displays an error that it does not have permission to create the files. From what I can tell in searching the web there seems to be similar problems with some flavors of Linux also.
Thanks.

This sounds like a permissions issue, change the permissions on the parent folder to 755 (or something secure but not restrictive). You should be able to do this by right clicking on the folder and going to Properties.
