Symfony and exsiting website

by PeterHab » Mon Nov 18, 2013 8:40 pm

Hi all,

We've got a website that was build with Symfony.
Our question is: can we import the current webfiles/structure into Symfony in order to continue development of do we need some sort of base files?

To explain it a bit better: I photoshop you build in layers then export a single image. In this case the website is the image but you can't modify the image without the basefile (psd) of the image.

Does Symfony require something like that.

as you can tell from the question: we're brand new to symfony and we'll looking to see what we need to ask from our current developer who has decided to stop.

best regards,
Peter

I understand this is a very basis and maybe even stupid question. And I did search on "import" but that get me anywhere as that's a general subject.

I hope someone has the time to explain it to me. Or at least can push me into the right direction.

Of course, this is a production deployment without the development components that might help me debug. So now I'm trying to do a full development installation in my shared hosting development environment. There is so much stuff out there for Symfony on GoDaddy but much of it is out of date. Is anyone aware of a site that might provide additional insight?
