Day 22 - To Host

by hadem » Sun Feb 03, 2008 3:38 am

I am having a few problems with day twenty two. I used rsync to transfer the askeet project successfully, but it is obviously I can not browse to it via a web browser because my directory structure looks like this:

Code: Select all
/home/username/
  askeet/
    apps/
      frontend/
    batch/
    cache/
    config/
    data/
    doc/
    lib/
    log/
    test/
    web/
  www/

I have read through day twenty two and I do not see anything about moving the contents of the /askeet/web directory to /www or to create a link to the /www directory.

I have successfully moved askeet to my host but now what should I do so that I can go to www.mydomain.com to see the askeet project?

Also, if anyone is wondering about my symfony installation, I have installed it via Pear.
Code: Select all
$ pear list --allchannels

Installed packages, channel pear.symfony-project.com:
=====================================================
Package Version State
symfony 1.0.11  stable

Thanks for any help!

Hi there,

were you able to resolve this problem? I am also facing the same problem. My development structure contains "web" while the production structure contains "www" .. Please let me know any solutions that you might have figured out.
