what is $SVNREP_DIR

On the day 1 I find $SVNREP_DIR

I imagine it should be a directory but wich one ?

If not already defined in your environment, you need to define it yourself, or replace $SVNREP_DIR with a full path to your svn repository.

SVN does not really limit you as to where in the file system the repositories are stored, but it is wise to limit the server you use to some specific folder. For example, if you opt for the simplest configuration and use svnserve on local network, you would start it with:

svnserve -d -r /some/folder

Obviously, you would replace $SVNREP_DIR with /some/folder in tutorial examples.
