Asterisell modification: migration from MySQL to pgsql - help needed

by brotha » Sat Apr 26, 2008 2:29 pm

Hi,

I would like to use asterisell (asterisell.profitoss.com) that is written in symphony with pgsql instead of mysql.
I am not a programmer so this is hard task for me.
I need someone who knows symphony well to do this job. Please contact me via pm if you can do this - I can provide some small salary.

I don't think PM is enabled here.

Have a look at symfonians.net if you want a contractor. However switching to pgsql may be quite trivial - just change the details in /config/databases.yml and /config/propel.ini and rebuild all (see the book). This may be sufficient to get it working on Postgres. However of course the author may have done something MySQL-specific, in which case you will definitely need assistance!

Hi,

Thanks to point me to the right direction. I will try to do this on my own and if it fails I will post to correct forum.

Thanks again.

Btw, if the software is open source, the author may well help you get it working on postgres - get in touch with them?
