Hi,
I'm new to symfony (and quite new to php actually).
I really thing symfony is a good project, but a good project also need good documentations for new-comers to get easy start. IMHO, this is not yet the case for symfony, It was a still a bumpy drive for me to get symfony started, and I've found many such cases in the forum history.
I haven't get symfony fully working yet, but I'm making steady progress.
http://www.symfony-project.com/forum/index.php?t=msg&th= 4785&start=0&
I've documented the problems that I bumped into and the solutions, as I move
along.
But I think the best place is not there, which can be pushed out of sight as time moves on. The best way is for me to become a Documentation Contributor.
I've been to GuidelinesForDocumentationContributors
http://www.symfony-project.com/trac/wiki/GuidelinesForDocume ntationContributors
but didn't find how to become a Documentation Contributor.
please help.
thanks

sfxpt, the best place to start might be to contribute to the wiki whilst you are still getting used to symfony and PHP. When you become more expert, then you can always contribute to the official documentation.
In any case, with the recent release of the new book, I am not sure that the 'old' official documentation will actually feature on the site - it has been taken down.
