sfExtraWidgetsPlugin - Datepicker doesn't work

Postby fioner » Thu Nov 12, 2009 7:02 pm

Hy, i try tu use : sfExtraWidgetsPlugin - Datepicker

configuration with this page http://symfony.swisscenter.com/extrawidgets/datepicker

First error :

[error js] $ is not defined (so i understand that prototype wasn't
there)...so i have modified _form.php, adding this :

<?php use_helper('ModalBox') ?>

( i know it's strange but it was just for prototype...)

2 error :

now, when i click calendars Pix : box open correctly but a error tell me :

The requested URL /main_dev.php/datepicker/days was not found on this server.

I think, it can't find the datepicker module, but why ??

my settings.yml :

# Activated modules from plugins or from the symfony cor
enabled_modules: [datepicker, captcha, default ]

thanks if u got a idea..

lol :

no body an idea ??? ......

so i change my settings.yml :

# Helpers included in all templates by default
standard_helpers: [Partial, Cache, Form, ModalBox, Date]

ModalBox for prototype... and Date for Datepicker...

After you have to change the datepicker.js :

var dp_url = '/main_dev.php/datepicker/';

==> replace 'main' by 'frontend' (if 'frontend' is the name of yours applications....)

AND IT'S WORK !!!

Why http://symfony.swisscenter.com/extrawidgets/datepicker don't talk about that ..?...?...

it must be like sensio : buziness practise.....

Hmm, which version of symfony are you using? I use 1.0 predominently, and this contains the datepicker.js file from what I can remember. I don't think we had to change this variable to get it to work.

Ah, just looking at that code, the reason why it appears to need access to the symfony app is that it is part of an Ajax operation. To be honest it should work with index.php - perhaps you need to clear your cache, or you have a problem with your production front controller.

thanks Halfer...

I use to read your posts since 3 or 4 years : you're really active on this forum and that's very nice !!! 8-)

Now I use : symfony 1.2.9 /

i clear my cache every time... and i've changed nothing on my front controller...

I'll look this later, 'cause now i know that i'm not suppose to change it...

thks
