return or link to paginated list

Postby smugford » Tue Apr 10, 2012 9:31 pm

i'm using sfDoctrine pagination.

it all works fine.

when the user adds an item i'd like to have a "view in list" link somewhere on the page that will take it to the paginated list page that the item shows up on.

i was thinking of linking back to the referer because if you click on the item from the page the javascript "back" function would work fine.

has anyone tried to do this or do you have any ideas?

Thanks,
Scott

I would probably do this the obvious way and go through all the pages to see if it's on that page xd.
You could also take the element you're trying to see in the list as the offset, and just always have that one to be the first one in the list. (list-and-a-half?) Would probably impose some more complicated problems, though.
