Postby kenzaki » Mon Jul 01, 2013 9:01 am

Dear,

I had downloaded Symfony 2.3.1 on Symfony home page, but, when i install it, i don't found data/ and lib/ directory.
And how to download Symfony Packages with data/ and lib/ directory.

Thank so much :)!

Hi,

Symfony2 doesn't have those folders, I'm guessing they are from v1. You can install Symfony2 without command line by downloading it with vendors, and managing them manually. But it's preferable to have shell access, makes life way easier

Hy
I just install WAMP&PEAR, everything is work fine.
Now, i downloaded last Symfony zip folder, but I dont know where to extract him?!
I tried put it here C:\wamp\www\ , but when i tried command "symfony -V" in cmd I get this message:"symfony is not recognized as an internal or external command.."
btw I see this site http://localhost/symfony/web/config.php

So the main problem is, where to extract and do I need to go to the special path to start working with symfony comand in cmd?

Hi

First of all, your should create a new post, as your question has nothing to do with the current one.

You have to put it on your web path, like it seems you did.

I tried put it here C:\wamp\www\ , but when i tried command "symfony -V" in cmd I get this message:"symfony is not recognized as an internal or external command.."

No "symfony" command exists or ever existed. There are some command line utilities that you'll need to use, that are described in the documentation that I assume you didn't read :o  :(
