[Symfony2] Please, remove hard-linking of twig inside framew

Symfony is awsome. Instead of hard-linking with twig templating system inside a framework. I propose to let user to choose which templating system to use. Ok, good to have something by default. I even tell that let's it will be twig. But, please, implement a clear way how to completely replace a twig with something another. Pure PHP, for example.

Let's say that I expect that framework should provide a clear interface to integrate any of templating system into it. It's enough.

I am fairly sure you *can* use raw PHP as the templating layer in Symfony 2 - I think I read something on this. Isn't it down to the extension of the template files you use? (I don't use Symfony 2, so am not sure myself).

halfer is right. If you read the documentation on templating in Symfony2 you'll notice that all examples are provided in Twig and PHP plus there is a cookbook entry on this exact topic.
